Abandoned Property Hidden in the Woods Is Packed With Derelict Classics

Exploring abandoned properties can be fun if you're into antiques and memorabilia. For us car geeks, it becomes even better when the said property includes classic cars. It's actually a bit sad because they're usually too far gone, but barn/field finds are always worth a look.
The property you're about to see below is one of those places. It looks like it's been abandoned for decades, and whoever lived here left almost everything behind. I'm not into our host's claim that it was once owned by "professional car thieves," but the area is littered with classic cars produced between the 1960s and 1980s.

As is the case with most abandoned properties, most of them are rather mundane. The stash includes several pickup trucks, three Volkswagen Beetles, and all sorts of American full-size and midsize rigs from the 1980s. But our host also found a few vehicles many enthusiasts would describe as too cool to become rust buckets.

The first-generation Mercury Cougar that shows up early in the video is definitely one of them. The same goes for the 1965 Chevrolet Impala convertible discovered on a barn that had collapsed. Granted, neither of these vehicles is rare, but they shouldn't spend their retirement years like this.

Our host also found a Pontiac Parisienne. Produced in Canada on Chevrolet underpinnings, the Parisienne is a rare sight on US soil. This one appears to be a 1966 convertible. This body style is not very common.

Another barn houses a third-generation Camaro and a 1963 Impala. The two-door coupe is still in solid condition. Moreover, it appears to be all-original and unrestored inside out. Presuming the chassis is also sound, this unrestored survivor definitely deserves a second chance.

The Cougar shown in the first minutes of the video is not the only muscle car abandoned on this property. Our host also found a first-generation Chevrolet Camaro, most likely a 1967 model. Unfortunately, this one is in terrible condition, with rust holes on every body panel.

The final minutes of the footage show a Datsun Z car. It's unclear if it's a 240Z or 260Z, but it has extensive damage to the front fenders and hood. The original engine is still inside the car, but the interior has been gutted.

There is no info on what's really going on with this property and whether there are plans to remove the cars. According to our host, the land was home to a couple of small airplanes, but they've been removed recently.

But based on the way it looks and the amount of vegetation, there's no one to take care of this place. And sadly enough, it sure looks like all these vehicles are bound to rot away under full exposure to the elements. Hit the play button below for the full walkaround.
